The representatives of the UDC, Rocío Chao Fernández and Pilar Couto Cantero, coordinator of the project, presented the AWKE PROJECT to the attendees at the congress.
The University of Córdoba hosted the tenth edition of the International Congress on Bilingual Education at its Rectorate, a national and international reference in the area, which featured speakers and participants of renowned prestige and relevance.
This congress has become an essential event for the international scientific and educational community. National and international organizations (UNESCO, OECD, Council of Europe, MECD and Junta de Andalucía, among others) have long pointed out the crucial importance of bilingual education for the understanding of peoples and for the establishment of coexistence. Increasingly, therefore, bilingual education is seen as a crucial factor in the social system, which contributes positively and decisively to scientific progress, to the personal development of the individual, and to the improvement of the employment opportunities of the population. The AWKE PROJECT was recognized as an excellent practice.
The International Congress on Bilingual Education was a great success as a space for the exchange of experiences and research aimed at promoting the development of bilingual education through action research, as well as the dissemination of its results.
