Fthia in Action

Fthia In Action is a youth leading organization based in the historical city of Lamia and the charming seaside town of Kamena Vourla in Central Greece. Began its work in late 2018 as an informal youth group with the aim to participate in Youth in Action mobilities and promote equal opportunities to the youngsters of the region. Later on in early 2021 the rapid growth of the number of our members and the need to participate in more learning tools made us take the decision of transforming our organization into a legal entity and an Association of Volunteers. Fthia In Action is an organization that consists of highly experienced members in the field of international projects and currently has a base of more than 165 volunteer members.

Fthia In Action supports and develops activities on a local, national and international level in the areas of informal and non-formal education. Participates in EU co-funded projects, international volunteer workcamps and organizes a huge variety of volunteer actions in the region of Central Greece. We have successfully created a trustworthy network of partners and associated organizations both at the international and national level in order to reach the best possible outcomes of our activities. Our main fields of our work are: climate change and environment, digital dimension and transformation, sports and inclusion.

Fthia In Action is excited to bring significant knowledge and experience to AWKE project as well as to learn great things and good practices. Our association is responsible of organizing Forums, Round Tables and activities to promote knowledge of the European institutions, the participation and the active citizenship, to promote the European Values and the dialogue. Fthia is ready to bring together lot of schools from the region of Central Greece in order to share the knowledge and create a solid ground of collaborative network where all the institutions are going to get value and develop their educational methods.
